The Docket is a newspaper published each semester by the Legal Studies Program of Maryville University. Editions of The Docket are available below for your review. This newspaper contains information about recent events and includes the schedule of the next semester's classes. This information is released in The Docket before it is available on Access Maryville.
This page is designed as an online resource for our students and graduates. The Quick Links at right contain several practice forms for Missouri, Illinois and federal courts. Maryville University and the Legal Studies Program do not assume any liability for the correctness of or use of any form.
Certain forms are necessary to be completed for graduation, internships and other courses required for your matriculation through Maryville's Legal Studies Program. We have attempted to make as many of those available to you here in one location. Please see the section on Surveys contained at the below. You may also complete Course Evaluations at the bottom of this page.
Sample student work is contained in the links below. Should you have any sample pleadings, interrogatories, memoranda, motions or briefs you think would be beneficial for others, please forward an electronic copy to the Program Director for posting. You may also forward links for other websites you have found helpful in your practice.
Because we are a program approved by the American Bar Association, we are held to stringent requirements. Part of those requirements are on going assessments of our program including courses, faculty, students and graduates. Below are a number of assessment tools. Employers, graduates and students are requested to complete their respective survey and e-mail it to the Program Director. Thank you for helping us make our program better by identifying and responding to your needs.

Course Assessments are to be completed by each student in a legal studies course every semester. To ensure that the assessment is anonymous, please obtain an identification number for the course you are evaluating from your instructor. You may also e-mail the Program Director with your name and course name and she will e-mail the identification number to you. Please note, you will have a different identification number for each course you evaluate. Everyone in the same course will have the same identification number.
It is only by obtaining thoughful and well reasoned comments from our students that we are able to improve courses and teaching methods. Constructive criticism is always welcomed.
